Biography - Sasha Alexander

Sasha Alexander is of ethnic Serbian origin. She was born Suzana S.Drobnjakovic in Los Angeles. In seventh grade, she began to act in school plays. She was an ice skater as well however she was forced to stop due to injuries to her knee. In high school, she resumed to act and then went to college. Then she moved to New York to perform in Shakespeare festivals and summer stock. She graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television, where she was a part of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. Sasha started her acting career while still at school. She made her stage debut in the seventh grade. She was also a part of 'Everything Nice', an iconic pop group, when she was fourteen years old. One of the most notable aspects of Sasha Alexander's career was her portrayal of 'Special Agent Caitlin Todd' on the series 'NCIS. She continued to play the character in the initial two seasons, which ran from 2003 to 2005. Sasha returned briefly to the role she played in the second (2005 guest appearance) season. Her second marriage was with Italian director Edoardo Ponti, son of famous actor Sophia Loren. The marriage took effect on August 11, 2007. They had two children, daughter Lucia, born in 2006, and son Leonardo who was born in the year 2010.
