She is among the best-selling singers in Canada just behind Celine Dion. The album 'Come On Over' is the top-selling country album ever. In 1995, she released her second studio album "The Woman in Me. The majority of songs featured on the album were co-written by her. The album became a top-selling hit and reached No.1 in the 'U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums.' Shania finally released her debut album, a self-titled album in 1993. Despite being a minor hit in U.S., the album was quite successful in Europe and she was named Rising Video Star of the Year by Country Music Television Europe. The album she released in 1997 'Come On Over' was her biggest success. The album was highly appreciated for its ability to break free of conventional stereotypes. It peaked at No.1 on the 'U.S. It was ranked No.1 on the 'U.S. Top Country Albums' chart. It became the most-sold country album of all time. In 1993, Twain wed Robert Lange, a producer with whom she had been working frequently. They have one son. When she discovered that he was having an affair with her most trusted friend, she divorced him. The album 'The Women in Me' (1995) was her first major success. It made her a well-known country artist. The album became multi-platinum just a few months after it's release, and was certified diamond after five years. With five Grammy Awards and the total sales of her albums which reaches 82 million copies worldwide, she is indeed one of the greatest female artists the world has.
