Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett, a Canadian actress, is known for her roles in films such as 'Apartment Hunting "Men with Brooms" and  The Tree of Life. She was born in Spalding and attended high school in Alberta. Acting was something she discovered during her teens. She was enrolled at Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her acting training. In Moscow, she was also enrolled in the Moscow Theatre School. In 1996 she made her TV debut as a supporting role in the Canadian show 'The Rez. She also appeared in series like Ready or Not' and Forever Knight' that year. She also made her debut in film in the latter part of 1990 in the form of a film called "Papertrail" and later appeared in films such as "Men with Brooms" and  Cypher.' Additionally, she played support roles in shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder." Although she was appearing in films during the 2000s and beyond, her appearances on screen were less than her television appearances. In 1998, she was also given the role of the lead in the role of Colleen Blessed in the Canadian drama series Power Play. The series ran for 26 episodes and received both commercial and critical praise. The actress was nominated for the 'Gemini Award for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June 2013. She didn't reveal the name of her son's father however. According to certain sources her ex-boyfriend is the father her son's. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke began dating her in the mid-1990s. They got married in the month of October 1998. The couple separated in the year 2006.
