American
actress Danielle Riley Keough. [2] Born in Santa Monica (California) to the
famous musicians Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough She is the
grandchild of the actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was
raised by her father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and spent time with her mother in
California. At the age of 15, she began modeling, which included appearances at
fashion shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior as well as
appearing on the cover of Vogue. At age 20, Keough was cast in a supporting
role in The Runaways (2010) as Marie Currie. Following The Good Doctor (2011)
she starred in Jack & Diane (2012). She was then cast as a small part
in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). After appearing in Yellow and
Kiss of the Damned in 2012, Keough was cast in the action film with a big
budget Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as
a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The Girlfriend
Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the
same name. Her performance was highly praised and she was nominated for the
Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Limited
Series or Motion Picture. Keough's next performance as an attractive, young,
straight-laced woman in American Honey (2017) won the actress more praise. She
received an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Keough was the star of the
horror movie that was set in the aftermath of the Great Apocalypse It Comes at
Night (2017). Keough then reunited Soderbergh to perform in Logan Lucky, a
heist movie. She followed this with roles in a range of thriller and horror
films in 2018, including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built as well as
the neo-noir Under the Silver Lake, and Hold the Dark. Keough played the lead
role in 2019's psychological horror film The Lodge. She was then cast in Zola
(2020) that is an comedy-drama. Keough is the character Sandy Harrison,
Netflix's 2020 release The Devil All the Time.
