Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is the daughter of director Besim Sahatciu. Her family moved to United Kingdom at age 1. She grew up in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she was accepted into Sylvia Young Theatre School and then St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing from the age of a very young age.In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. She was a contestant on Eurovision: Your Country requires You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but , later on, pulled out of the contest after a couple of episodes because she wasn't sure she was ready. Ora made her debut music in 2007 when she appeared in Craig David's track "Awkward" followed by another appearance on "Where’s Your Love" with TinchyStryder. Ora began performing in bars all over London. Roc Nation was alerted by an A&R regarding Ora in 2009, just a few days after Ora was on her way to New York and met Jay-Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Ora was noticed by Jay-Z and he quickly signed her to Roc Nation, in which she appeared in commercials for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was the owner of a pub, and she started her singing career at that pub. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub owner and she started her singing performances from the same bar. A friend of Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
