Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actressand model, well-known for her roles on daytime TV, guest appearances as
well as made-for TV movies. Sofer was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995
for her performance as Lois Cerullo on the soap series General Hospital. She
has been acting as Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS The Bold and the Beautiful, a
soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a
psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family
later moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She then moved together with her
father David, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. But, by the time Sofer was just 5
years old, they resided in Western Pennsylvania. Their family lived in Ambridge
Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish
Center. She attended the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox
Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen, New
Jersey which was where her father served as rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El.
She graduated from North Bergen High School, after which she attended classes
at Montclair State College. Sofer first played Lois Marie Cerullo on General
Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993, as a band manager. However, her first
high-profile character was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show Loving
(1988-91). One of her most well-known roles is that of Lois Cerullo, a nurse on
General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of September 1993 to September 24
the 24th of September, 1996. She was later guest actor (February 7-17 in 1997;
September 30 September 30 - October 2 1997). Sofer was given the Daytime Emmy
Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in a Drama Series for her
portrayal as Lois. Sofer became a part of CBS's soap opera The Bold and the
Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she created just. The premiere of the show
aired in July 2013. Sofer has appeared as a guest cast member or guest star in
a variety of prominent prime-time TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose
Place. She has also been a guest on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The show's
first episode aired on July 12.
