Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer is an Israeli actress who
has received praise for her performance. She was born in Tel Aviv and was first
noticed by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking role as Eric Bana's wife in Munich (2005). Zurer is an American
actress that has appeared in Studio films, such as Sony Pictures' Vantage Point
featuring Dennis Quaid (with William Hurt), Samuel Goldwyn’s Fugitive pieces
alongside Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected along with Jeff
Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons is opposite Tom
Hanks. Darling companion with Lawrence Kasdan with Diane Keaton and Kevin
Kline, and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel which is starring Russell Crow, is Ron
Howard. Ewan McGregor filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert, and she
eagerly awaited the release of The Last Knights, a film directed by Kazuaki
Kiriya, opposite Clive Owen. In recognition of her performance as Hostages'
lead actress, she was awarded the Gold Nymph Award at the 54th Festival of
Television in Monte-Carlo. Ayelet was awarded the Israeli Film And Television
Academy Award for her lead performance in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet was also
nominated due to her roles in films Only Dogs Run Free and The Dybuk, from Holy
Apple Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. She was the winner of the Haifa
International Film Festival critic award and also received a star on Haifa's
"film boulevard" for her achievements in the local and international
arenas. Zurer was also awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her
role in "In Treatment" which is a renowned international TV show,
which has been adapted to American television by HBO. She was also nominated as
apposite in 2014's year's best drama "Shtisel" as well as won best
actress in drama for her performance as a brilliant surgeon in a life-and-death
dilemma in Hostages. The series was licensed to BBC4 & Canal Plus and
the American ABC. She is the "face " of one of Israel's top
female-focused fashion houses- Golbary. She is a producer as well as a writer.
Ayelet is currently working on several projects in Israel and the USA. She has
expressed an desire to collaborate internationally with directors from around
the world since she believes in joining unknown writers/directors.
