Amanda Tapping, an English-born Canadian actor.   Her most well-known part is as Samantha Carter on the Canadian-American military sci-fi TV show Stargate SG-1.   She also was the main character of the TV show science fiction fantasy Sanctuary.   North Toronto Collegiate Institute was where she was able to excel in the field of Drama as well as Environmental Science.   When she graduated in 1984, Tapping decided to concentrate on her studies in Drama.
